Hi,

Up until about 5 days ago all was working fine.

Now, all I'm getting when connecting is:

[09:36] -matrix.au.oc.irchighway.net- *** Looking up your hostname...
[09:36] -matrix.au.oc.irchighway.net- *** Found your hostname (****)

Any ideas on what is wrong? This is with mIRC. I have tried other clients, all the same.

I have tried changing my own IP and still the same message.

Updated mIRC and also getting:

[10101] Host disconnected

Thanks

I can, however, connect to other servers like undernet, etc..

Also instead of trying to troubleshoot in the forums, perhaps it may be easier to talk live on irc using the webchat feature at the top of the screen, just join #help and someone or myself will be with you asap and help you .

I was using a sysreset version of mIRC 6.14

I also tried installing 3 other versions and all had the same problem. I thought it was my ISP blocking it but went to another place with the same ISP and it worked.

Short of resetting the modem, I ended up doing an ipconfig /renew all and got a new IP address (both WAN and LAN for that computer) and it is now working.

I just can't work out why it would have just stopped working.

Anyway all fixed now, so if other people have the same problem this is what I did.

Thanks
